Trustee Alison Pure Slovin has lived in Skokie for 11 years, and was elected to the Village Board in 2021. Trustee Pure Slovin attended Columbia College for broadcast communications, Chicago. Since 2021, she has served as the Midwest Region Director for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international human rights organization, having previously served as the Midwest Region Director of the American Committee for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. In addition, she served as the President of the Standard Club Chicago from 2012 to 2015. She is a recent member of the State of Illinois Holocaust and Genocide Commission and a board member of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council. Trustee Pure Slovin is widow of Ronald Slovin, and is the mother of four and grandmother of 10.
