Trustee James Johnson has lived in Skokie since 2016 and was elected to the Village Board in 2021. Trustee Johnson holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Davidson College in North Carolina. They live in Downtown Skokie, within walking distance of many local ‘treasures’ like the Skokie Public Library, Emily Oaks Nature Center, the Skokie Farmers’ Market and more. They enjoy volunteering, learning about the community, and participating in the work of local social-justice groups.
What Trustee Johnson loves most about Skokie is their neighborhood, one of the most multicultural communities in all of America. They are incredibly proud to call Skokie home.
