Trustee Edie Sue Sutker is a life-long Skokie resident and began serving on the Village Board in 2004 after having served for nearly 10 years on the Skokie Plan Commission. Trustee Sutker has a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University, Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois, Champaign. Trustee Sutker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an Assistant Director for Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS Chicago). Before her social work career, she was in the investment business for 14 years and earned her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. In addition, she was the Executive Director of the VisionTek Foundation, which raised more than $650,000 to fight cancer and leukemia. She is a life member of NA’AMAT USA and Hadassah, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and also a member of the Ezra-Habonim Niles Township Jewish Congregation. She enjoys race walking, biking, swimming, weight lifting and spending time with her family. 

Trustee Sutker values the diversity and progressiveness in the community, and believes that these qualities, along with Skokie’s premier location, make Skokie a wonderful place to live.
