Beginning on Thursday, July 11, a contractor working for the Illinois Department of Transportation will be enacting temporary lane closures in various locations on Dempster Street near Skokie Boulevard and Niles Center Road while conducting soil borings and pavement analysis. A single lane at a time will be closed as needed to complete this investigatory work related to the upcoming project to enhance the three intersections.
July 15, 2019 Update: While this project was expected to conclude today, the Village has been advised by IDOT that these intermittent lane closures are expected to continue on through Thursday, July 18.
