May 21 through 27 is National Public Works Week! Thank you to our dedicated Public Works Department staff, who together maintain:
- 150 miles of streets, 75 miles of alleys, and 240 miles of sidewalk
- 25,000 parkway trees
- 100 acres of turf and landscaping
- 10 Village facilities
- 200+ fleet vehicles and equipment
Skokie Public Works provides our community with critical services, including engineering, flood control, snow and ice control, leaf pick-up, street sweeping, solid waste and recycling management, sidewalk replacement, water and sewer maintenance, tree maintenance and much more.
