Bargain hunters and sustainability-minded shoppers can find unique items and great deals at the Village of Skokie’s first ever Community-Wide Garage Sale.
More than 150 households spread throughout the community are signed up to participate in the free event, which will take place Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sale hours vary by location.
The event provides Skokie residents with an opportunity to find new homes for their used household items and furnishings, while supporting the Village’s Environmental Sustainability Plan goal of reducing household waste.

Residents and visitors can view an interactive map of participating garage sale locations at skokie.org/garagesale. The map includes anticipated sale items and hours of operation for each registered location.

Skokie households can sign up to participate in the event by visiting skokie.org/garagesale and completing the garage sale registration form. Participation is free and does not count towards a dwelling’s three allotted garage sales per calendar year.
Registered participants can pick up an eco-friendly Community-Wide Garage Sale lawn sign at Village Hall, 5127 Oakton St., while supplies last. Signs are available in the Village Manager's Office, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Participants must remove all signs after the event concludes.
