Yard waste collection resumes this Wednesday, April 5 and will continue every Wednesday through November 11. Exceptions to this schedule are the Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day holiday weeks when yard waste will be picked up on the Saturday after the holiday.
- Place yard waste into 32-gallon biodegradable yard waste bags (available at home improvement stores and some grocery stores) and put the bags in the same area where your recycling and refuse are collected no later than 7 a.m. on collection day.
- Branches up to one inch in diameter should be bundled and tied.
- There is a limit of ten bags or bundles per collection.
- Grass clippings are not accepted. It is recommended that they are mulched and remain on your lawn for fertilization.
In addition, residents are reminded that, per the Village code, the use of any lawn care equipment is limited between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. is prohibited.
