Festival of Chariots Parade – Road Closure
On Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the following road closures for the Festival of Chariots Parade will occur:
- Oakton Street (Kenton Avenue to Tripp Avenue)
- Tripp Avenue (Oakton Street to Kirk Street)
- Kirk Street (Tripp Avenue to Kenton Avenue)
- Kenton Avenue (Kirk Street to Oakton Street)
For eastbound traffic, a detour will be in place at the intersection of Oakton Street and Skokie Boulevard. For westbound traffic, a detour will be in place at the intersection of Oakton Street and Keeler Avenue. Lastly, for northbound traffic, a detour will be in place at the intersection of Mulford Street and Kostner Avenue. During this time, please consider using an alternate route. The “Festival Chariots Parade” is being organized by ISKCON Chicago. This event starts with a parade closing above-mentioned thoroughfares, then continues at Oakton Park. Please be aware that during the parade, there will be loud music, singing and dancing.
