Skokie has fun from morning until night on the Fourth of July!
Fourth of July Parade
Monday, July 4, noon - rain or shine! The parade kicks off at Oakton Community College, 7701 Lincoln Avenue, at noon and continues east on Oakton Street to Oakton Park, 4701 Oakton Street. More from the Fourth of July parade committee:
The parade features a variety of musical and dance groups, and we will be honoring representatives from the many professions that helped us through the pandemic - police, fire, teaching, nursing and public health - as Parade Grand Marshals.

Spectacular 3-D Fireworks Show
An evening of music, picnics and dazzling fireworks takes place at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton Street. The grounds open at 5 p.m., musical entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at dusk.
The Skokie Fire and Police Departments reminds the community to leave fireworks to the professionals. The best way to stay safe from fireworks is not to use them! Click here to see more information about reporting use of illegal fireworks in Skokie.
Attention residents living north of Oakton Community College and south of Oakton Street! Beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, and continuing through approximately 1:30 p.m. that day, the only intersection that will be open to vehicular traffic entering/leaving the neighborhood will be Niles Avenue at Lincoln Avenue. All other intersections will be closed until the parade route clears. Thank you for your cooperation.
Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
