Drop your pumpkins off at the dumpster in the parking lot across from Village Hall, on the northwest corner of Oakton Street and Floral Avenue on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Painted pumpkins are fine, but please no candles, googly eyes, yarn, plastic or other nonbiodegradable materials. Composting pumpkins avoids greenhouse gas emissions and instead, produces a useful, nutrient- dense soil amendment.
Can’t make it to the event? Just smash your pumpkins in your garden to add nutrients to your soil.
