Beginning the week of May 17, Nicor will begin a local gas main replacement project. Residents affected by the project will receive the following notice in the mail. The first phase of the project is inspecting the sewers within the project area. After that, Nicor’s contractor will begin installing gas mains, followed by gas service line replacement. The project will conclude with restoration of sidewalks and lawns. The approximate project location is Suffield Court to Carol Street from Long Avenue to Gross Point Road. .
