MUST READ - RESIDENTS & EMPLOYEES OF SKOKIE-LOCATED BUSINESSES MUST:

  • Be 12+ years old to register for a Pfizer clinic
  • Be 18+ years old to register for a Moderna clinic
  • Be 18+ years old to register for a Johnson & Johnson clinic

To register for an appointment, click one of the clinics listed. You will then be redirected to the Village's appointment software. If no clinics are listed, it is because they are full or will be scheduled at a later date. Check back for updates.

Third Doses for Immunocompromised Individuals

Skokie Health and Human Services will begin to offer third dose COVID-19 shots for immunocompromised residents effective Wednesday, August 25, 2021.  The third dose must be from the same manufacturer as doses one and two, and must be administered no earlier than 28 days after dose two.

If you are immunocompromised, meet one of the below criteria, and are able to provide documentation, please click on this link for PFIZER Wednesday COVID-19 Clinics - Village of Skokie Health and Human Services - VH - PFIZER (juvare.com)  OR  this link for MODERNA Thursday COVID-19 Clinics - Village of Skokie Health and Human Services - VH - MODERNA (juvare.com) to schedule your 3rd dose COVID-19 vaccine shot.

Criteria to Be Eligible for a Third/Additional Dose

  • Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
  • Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
  • Received a stem cell transplant within the last two years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
  • Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
  • Advanced or untreated HIV infection as evidenced by a CD4 count of less than 200 cells/mm3  
  • Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response

If you are not immunocompromised, you are not eligible for a third dose at this time. The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health and other public health and medical experts offered a joint statement regarding booster doses, and stated that around the week of September 20 this would be available. According to the joint statement, “We are prepared to offer booster shots for all Americans beginning the week of September 20 and starting 8 months after an individual’s second dose.”
