The Village of Skokie is pleased to support an effort by the Skokie Public Library and Niles Township Government to enlist volunteer sewists to make for Niles Township Food Pantry clients. Following is information from the Niles Township webpage:
“Sewists” are invited to make and donate masks for our Niles Township Food Pantry clients.
The Niles Township Food Pantry serves more than 6,000 residents, and the number is growing in this time of critical need. In partnership with the Skokie Public Library, the Township is highlighting this important way to help some of our most vulnerable community members who are also the least likely to be able to obtain their own masks.
