Governor JB Pritzker Issues Stay-At-Home Order
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has extended the Stay-At-Home Order in effect across the State of Illinois through April 30, 2020.  View recordings of Governor Pritzker’s press conferences and press releases with Illinois COVID-19 statistics. Residents may leave to purchase essential supplies such as groceries, prescriptions, toiletries, fuel and to go to the doctor. Restaurants will remain open to serve delivery, carry-out and pick-up orders. The Governor’s order, intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, requires all non-essential businesses to close. Essential services that will still be operational and that will remain open include but are not limited to:

  • Grocery stores
  • Gas stations
  • Pharmacies
  • Police stations
  • Fire stations
  • Hospitals, clinics and healthcare operations
  • Garbage/sanitation
  • Public transportation
  • Public benefits (i.e. SNAP, Medicaid) hotlines
  • Landscaping firms
  • Construction firms; construction projects are authorized to continue
