Temporary Zoning Commission
The newly established Temporary Zoning Commission is charged with implementing the Village's Comprehensive Plan by recommending changes to zoning districts and regulations to the Village Board. The first area to be studied will be Sector A: Downtown. Once this is completed, the Commission has broad discretion to review zoning in other portions of the Village such as the commercial districts along Dempster Street or the industrial/office districts on the east side of the Village. Additionally, the Commission is required to conduct public meetings on the zoning issues being review. Meetings are usually held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers.
