Zone 6 Residential Parking

A Residential Permit Parking System is being implemented in the residential area adjacent to the new CTA Yellow Line Oakton Station in Downtown Skokie in an effort to preserve parking for residents whose neighborhoods could be impacted by commuters.  As a result, the Residential Permit Parking Program Zone 6 has been created.  Click here for a map of Zone 6.  For more information about the program, please click here.

The Zone 6 residential parking program begins on Monday, April 30, 2012. Zone 6 residential parking permits are on sale now at Skokie Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street.  Proof of Zone 6 residency and purchase of current Skokie vehicle sticker is required to obtain a permit.  Proof of Zone 6 residency can consist of a copy of a current Illinois driver's license, a current  utility bill, vehicle registration, etc. For proof of purchase of current Village vehicle stickers (one for each of the cars for which you will need Zone 6 permits), please provide either a purchase receipt or the Illinois license plate number from each vehicle.

The annual permit fee is approximately $2 per permit.
